Wise Man Idea

1. Eating without hunger

Our first mistake in this list is - eating without hunger. We've all experienced it we come and stand in front of the fridge after every 2 hours. When you keep eating again and again throughout the day, by the time it's lunch or dinner, you don't even experience real hunger anymore you still eat lunch or dinner, but your digestive fire is not even burning and on your extinguished digestive fire,  you dump a plate full of dal-rice, roti-sabzi, and idli-sambhar on top of it. Now listen to this carefull. Without hunger, every bite you take is like poison for the body because food eaten without hunger cannot be digested at all and if it won't digest, then how will it come out of your body? It will stay stuck inside and keep rotting. Stop snacking and munching in between think of eating food like conducting a havan ritual Before conducting a havan or prayer, we prepare for it gather all the ingredients needed and keep it together. We bow down before we take a seat and slowly offer the ingredients to the fire to raise it slowly Is there anyone who casually throws the ingredients while walking here & there? No! Because you know there are some rules to conducting a havan But when it comes to the fire burning in our stomach, why do we forget everything and keep throwing ingredients into it while casually something or the other? even if the digestive fire is not lit Please understand - eating food is like doing a havan. We should sit down comfortably and slowly add ingredients to the fire and the ingredients should only be added when the fire is burning properly If we add food when our digestive fire is low, then the fire will be extinguished and our food won't digest. So between your breakfast and lunch, between your lunch and dinner, between your dinner and breakfast, remember not to keep snacking or munching. When you're really hungry, even simple and plain food tastes amazing. When we eat without hunger, we have to keep adding lots of things to make it tasty salt, chilli, spices, oil, lemon, we keep adding them all So in summary, eat only when you're hungry. Real hunger can be experienced as a growling sound in your stomach and fake hunger is that which demands something salty, tangy, spicy every 2 hours. If you're not hungry, then skip your meals we're afraid of skipping meals these days, but eating without hunger is much worse than that.

2. Eating in angry or stress

Our second mistake in list that is - eating when you're angry, irritated, tensed, or stressed. Imagine you're sitting down to have dinner after a long hard day of work Your plate has your favourite food You're feeling really hungry too the kind of hunger that makes a growling sound in your stomach you're just about to put the first bite in your mouth but suddenly your phone rings You find out that your best friend has gone through an accident What do you do? You keep your plate aside that very moment Even if your elders tell you to eat just a little bit what will you say? No! I'm not feeling hungry right now But how did your hunger die in just 30 seconds? Because when there's any kind of problem on your mind like fear, stress, tension, irritation or anger, the whole energy in your body starts going in mind. Whatever you eat when you're sad, angry, or when you don't feel like it, it turns into a poison once it enters your body because we can't digest it and there's an example of this in Indian culture too when someone dies, until their last rites are not performed, no one is allowed to use the stove at home Why did our ancestors create this rule? Because they knew in times of sadness and distress, family members can't digest their food properly so when you're eating, eat only when you're happy, relaxed and comfortable. Now if you're eating while watching a violent movie or a sad news story, you're eating while others are arguing around you then how will your mind be at ease?  While eating, if there's something giving you even a little bit of stress, set it aside immediately and eat in a stable, peaceful and happy state You'll see how much of an impact this one change will make on your digestion.

3. Always eating with forks & spoons

Our third mistake always eating with forks and spoons. The Britishers left a lot of things in our country one of them is the habit of using forks and spoons. Wherever you go, you'll find people eating with forks, knives and spoons these days but our Vedas have always taught us to eat with our hands Why? Because when you touch your food with your fingers, the nerve endings in your fingers immediately send a signal to your brain that food is about to enter the body and the same signal is sent by your brain to your stomach, intestines, liver and kidney By doing this, all your organs are prepared before food comes into the body Your stomach starts releasing digestive juices, liver starts releasing bile and intestines start getting lubricated On the other hand, when we eat with forks and spoons, our body doesn't get a signal another benefit of eating with our hands  is that they don't allow us to eat anything too hot or too cold In the Bhagavad Gita,  Lord Krishna teaches us never to eat anything too hot or too cold So the next time you see forks and spoons on the side of your plate, keep them aside and eat with your hands without hesitation while eating with your hands, don't ever feel embarrassed show the world what the right way of eating looks like Our Indian way while eating food,

4. Mixing too many dishes together

The fourth mistake that you may be making - Mixing too many foods at once. A bit of dal, some rice, and 2 rotis of course, 2-3 types of sabzis along with it, some salad, some raita, some papad of course! How else will you get flavour? So some papad too. Oh! We forgot about the chutney and pickle And why not end it on a sweet note after all this? If you eat a plate like this, no matter how hungry you are, no matter how relaxed you are, even if you eat with your hands,  your poor stomach will be confused about what to digest Look, your stomach can only digest one type of food at a time It can only release one type of digestive juice at a time So when you give it food like this, which has lots of different things in it,  your stomach won't be able to release so many different types of digestive juices What happens then? What you can't digest will keep sitting and rotting in your body and creates problems like acidity, headache, obesity, lethargy, and pimples Essene Gospel of Peace,  a book which compiles the 2000 year old teachings of Jesus Christ He says: "Be content with 2-3 foods as given by Mother Nature" Let me tell you truly, if you put all kinds of foods into your body,  the peace of your body will be lost and there will be a war waging inside you What should you do? Eat only one type of food at a time The next time you see 8-9 different items on your table, take only 2-3 items instead of taking everything Instead of mixing too many grains at a time, eat only one grain at a time If you see roti and rice in front of you, eat only one of them at a time

5. Not Chewing enough

Come, let's move onto our 5th mistake - not chewing our food properly. We know all about it, but don't do it We've heard all about it from childhood that you should chew your food 32 times But what do we do? We never understood its importance While watching TV, talking, without even looking at our plate, we're gulping our food But remember this one rule from now on -  Before swallowing any food, chew it so many times that it turns into a juice Until you don't chew it and turn it into a juice, don't swallow it down Why? Because the more you chew it, the  The more saliva is released, the easier it will be to digest your food Let's understand this another way. Surely, you would've boiled a potato before If you put the whole potato inside without cutting or peeling it, then it takes almost 15 mins to boil it but when you cut it into small pieces, how much time does it take? Barely 7 mins. Almost half the time Exactly this is what happens with your stomach When you eat without chewing properly, it will take almost 20 hours to digest it But when you eat it by chewing it properly, by turning it into a juice, then it will digest properly within 9-10 hours On top of that, you'll experience much more energy, lightness, mental clarity Because the work done your teeth can't be done by your intestines Okay, all this is fine! But how do we do it? As soon as the plate comes in front of me, I can't help eating everything quickly  I don't even remember about chewing my food And when I remember it, my meal is over already! Look, there are 2 things If you can do them, then chewing will easily happen on its own First, take small bites I've often seen people whose one bite is equivalent to half a roti If you eat such huge bites, then forget about your stomach, even your teeth won't be able to do their job properly So take small bites 2nd thing - while eating, only focus on your food Human beings are one of a kind. We keep thinking about food the whole day but when food is on our plate, we're thinking about everything else except it If you're doing 5 different things while eating, then you can't pay attention to chewing So take small bites and eat peacefully without any distractions You'll be able to focus on chewing naturally.

6. Overeating

The 6th mistake - eating till our stomach is absolutely full. Go to your kitchen and take a blender Now stuff it with ingredients till the top Then turn it on. What happens? Will you be able to mix anything? No, absolutely not! Forget about the blender. Think about your washing machine If you totally stuff it with clothes, will it be able to wash them properly? No! Why? Because it's Nature's law that to mix anything you need some empty space When we don't do this with our mixer, why do we do it with our stomach? Eating till we're totally stuffed. It's almost turned into a new ritual We feel that unless we don't eat until we're full, we'll become weak So what do we do?  Our Shastras teach us that we should only fill our stomach till half its capacity Leave 1/4th space for the digestive juices and 1/4th space empty for it to churn  But how will I know how full my stomach is? How do we practically follow this rule? It's easy. When you feel like taking a second serving, then stop for 2 mins After 2 mins, if you still feel like you want that second serving, then take it By giving this break, you'll be able to find out that your body had no need for it You'll stop by yourself. One more important thing! It doesn't matter what you eat. You may be eating the greenest vegetables you may be eating fruits, dry fruits and all kinds of nutritious food, if you eat too much, it will all turn into waste inside your body Before getting up from the table, leave some space in your stomach The last mistake we make - working directly after eating a meal Acharya K Lakshman Sharma, the initiator of Nature Cure philosophy in India said: which means that keeping work and digestion is necessary so there may be no competition between them Why? Because your food can only do one thing properly at a time Either digestion work or thinking/study work When you get back to work right after eating your food, a conflict starts inside your body Your stomach says I need all your energy  or else how will I digest it? and your mind says - No! I need all the power. How will I do this thinking work? Ultimately, the power in your body is split into 2 parts and both things can't be done properly We feel lazy while working and our meal doesn't digest properly That's why so many countries of the world have a Siesta time when shops and offices close down for a short time after lunch Spain, Mexico, Philippines, Europe, China, everywhere they rest during the day because they know that after eating a grain meal,  we can either do outer work or inner work Additionally, you would've seen those who do physical labour  never get back to work immediately after a meal. They take a break for a while If you want good health too, then take some rest after your grain meal How long? For at least 10 mins and maximum upto 30 mins as much time as you can give You can even sleep if you want Be careful not to lie down immediately after eating food Only lie down after 2-3 mins or walking at least 100 steps  We know that when you go to office, you can't go to sleep like this In this case, simply put your head on the table and rest for 10 mins Oh! But how will I do it? If my boss catches me sleeping, then I'm done! If your job is such that you can't take rest after your meal at all, there are 2 ways - first, have a light lunch like soup or salad Rest is required only after eating heavy grain meals Even if you don't rest after eating light foods like salads, fruits, soups, smoothies, it's okay it's very easy to digest them 2nd - if you prefer grain meals for lunch, then explain to your HR or boss that by resting for just 20 mins after lunch,  your productivity can double for the next 4 hours Now you know about all.

7. Work Immediately after Food

The 7 mistakes when you experience a strong sense of hunger not hunger of the mind, but hunger of the stomach along with this, your mind should be completely relaxed there should be no anxiety, anger, irritation. When you serve food, don't mix more than 2-3 foods Before taking the first bite, say thank you to any God that you believe in Say thanks to God for giving you this food, thank the farmer who grew this food for you Say thanks to all the people who have helped bring this food to your plate all those who have cooked this food for you so many people have worked so hard to bring this food to your plate Mother Earth has nourished its seed, so many little insects have touched it the Sun God has cooked it with his fire just for you, Just to give you all the nutrition you need. Acknowledge this hard work, Express gratitude from the bottom of your heart and open your eyes touch your food with your hands and feel all its different textures in your fingers remember to chew your food properly while eating it take small bites and eat slowly take deep long breaths while eating Chew until the food turns into juice. Only swallow it after it has turned into juice. Remember to only fill your stomach till half its capacity don't eat more than necessary before getting up from the table, leave some empty space in your stomach take some rest after eating your meal. Don't go back to work directly. If you follow these simple laws of Mother Nature while eating, you'll get much more energy from the food you eat.
